Solange has finally opened up about #CarterGate, the incident between her and Jay Z on the elevators. Solange had a sit down interview with Lucky magazine for their August issue and says;
What’s important is that my family and I are all good.What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that.If you remember, Solange released a fit of rage upon her brother in law, Jay Z, on an elevator at The Standard Hotel. Once the security cam footage leaked, it immediately went viral. The rumor mill has not stopped churning with thoughts about that evening.
The Carters won't speak anymore on the subject since they have released the following statement months ago;
What are your thoughts?
As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.
